Ana-Carolina Pesce Imlay was born in Sao Paulo Brazil but grew up in the farming countryside of Botucatu in Southeast Brazil. Inspired by her designer/illustrator grandfather, she graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from the University of SENAC in Sao Paulo in 2008. She currently resides in San Fransisco and works as a freelance graphic designer.
